Clue – A New Comedy at Orpheum Theatre

This is an attempt to hype up a production without giving up too many clues that turn into spoilers! Here goes nothing. One of the key ideas of the board game, which is what most members of the audience know the name from, has to do with the different scenarios that could've all taken place, which led to the demise of one of the characters. The way that these various stories are incorporated into the playscript is super engaging all the way through. It helps set the tone for the entire show. That's a hard thing to do with Clue because, ultimately, it's a play about a murder scene, but the premise is that it's a comedy. Sorry about that "spoiler," but then again, if you didn't know that, then maybe you are in for quite a few more surprises on Thursday 9th January 2025 in Omaha. All for the low price of just $78!

The new comedy show, Clue is a family-friendly affair. The setup of this updated version of an all-time classic concept makes it interesting, even for the younger members of the family. Since the story re-winds itself again and again, creating different scenarios, you don't necessarily lose the string of what's taking place on stage, even if your attention goes elsewhere at some point. It's also a play not a musical, so don't expect any of the characters to randomly start singing. However, they may or may not do so just to make fun of the traditional musical format. It's a funny all-around experience that may leave you with some questions at the end of the night. Was the scenario that you would've picked the one that actually happened? You'll have to be at Orpheum Theatre to be in on the intrigue.

Finding the ideal seat within Orpheum Theatre is essential to enjoying the play. Try to look for a seat in the middle of the theater and a few rows back.
