The Motown legend AKA Diana Ross was the main vocalist of The Supremes. Hailing from Detroit, she rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the girl group. Fun fact: The Supremes was Motown’s most successful group in the 60s and 1 of the world’s best selling girl groups of all time!! The Supremes even achieved not one, not two but 12 NUMBER ONE HITS on the pop charts, including “Baby Love” (1964), “Stop! In the Name of Love” (1965), and “Someday We’ll Be Together” (1969). WOW!! Imagine grooving to these chart topping bangers with your pals!
The last time we heard from Diana Ross was in 2022, when she unleashed her collaboration with Tame Impala on the track "Turn Up The Sunshine" for the movie Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru. The song was produced by the Grammy Producer of the Year 2022, Jack Antonoff, and it was a global smash hit! This unique collaboration followed the release of her Thank You album, which was launched by Decca Records in 2021.
Later that summer, Diana Ross created history by breaking the Glastonbury home viewing records for the festival's Legends slot, overtaking the previous record held by Australian pop star Kylie Minogue from 2019. The TV audience numbers for Diana Ross' Sunday afternoon slot, which earned her a Grammy, surpassed three million, according to UK's Universal Music Operations Limited. Her overnight average audience figure reached an incredible 3.1 million. WOW!!
