Hamilton at Orpheum Theatre

After tours in the world’s most celebrated venues as well as Broadway itself and London’s West End, Hamilton will now also be playing for a limited season this spring in Orpheum Theatre of Omaha, an equally renowned entertainment venue renown for its leading amenities fit to host world-class productions and musicals.

The show honors the life of Alexander Hamilton, conceptualized and composed by the multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, based off the 2004 biography of Ron Chernow. It tells the historical times of Alexander Hamilton in a ‘hipper’ format, being close to the events behind his life but with artistic flair and musical scoring that makes this Musical extremely entertaining. Hamilton initially began off Broadway in mid 2015 and was quickly met with spectacular reviews from its premier. Along with plenty of press articles and reviewers, The Washington Post, called it “making ecstatic history”, as Hamilton’s premiere with its spectacular cast which included the likes of the musical's creator Miranda himself in the lead role and Tony Award winner Jonathan Groff, wowed audiences in its premiere with a memorable performance. The Musical went on over the next ten years to take home eleven Tony Awards from 16 nominations, in addition to Olivier, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize Awards.

Since it began in 2015, Hamilton has toured to perform in lots of entertainment venues around the globe, where it has been received with continuously great reviews. BroadwayWorld calls The Musical “the hottest ticket in town”, as it appeals to a wider range in audience due to it being accessible to both the older audiences who were interested in the history behind the show, and the younger generations that hears about the exciting and artistic approach behind this production. Across in the U.K.'s London’s West End, TimeOut mentions their worry behind Hamilton being overblown, but that “Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical about Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the U.S. Treasury, is actually better than the hype suggests”. Even just recently the touring cast in its Manila, Philippines’ performance, PEP PH describes the production as a “visual and sensory feast that adds layers of depth to the narrative”; “This musical is a masterpiece not because it tells a flawless story, but because it brilliantly captures the essence of the imperfect human experience, and in doing so, it achieves perfection on the stage”, they add.

Newspaper critics and audiences alike agree that Hamilton is a must-attend this spring as it kicks off its tour all over the globe.
