Tiffany Haddish & Lil Rel Howery [CANCELLED] at Orpheum Theatre

The comedy scene is brimming with comics who have mastered their craft to make people laugh, but there are only a few of them who shine as bright as Tiffany Haddish. The LA comedian excels at her unique approach that offers catching energy and unabashed genuineness. To the knowledge of some people, Haddish grew up in a family that experienced so much tragedy, which then pushed her to cope through comedy. She started her career in 2005. Her first major experience was appearing on the comedy competition Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes? This stint would then open doors for her to many opportunities, most of which are on TV shows. She appeared in That's So Raven, My Name Is Earl, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Underground, and many more. In 2017, while she was already receiving substantial attention, she was cast in the movie "Girls Trip" with Hollywood stars Regina Hall, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Queen Latifah. The movie was a hit, and her performance was positively received. It brought Haddish her mainstream breakthrough. Her comedic prowess also translates to the stage. Ironically, if you are an avid horror fan, you will recognize Lil Rel Howery as the TSA guy from the Oscar-winning and critically acclaimed horror movie Get Out. In a lot of ways, his stint in the film changed the trajectory of his life — bringing to the public consciousness how irresistible his comedic prowess is. Like Haddish, Lil Rel faced many challenges during his childhood that he met with perseverance and humor. He fell in love with comedy at a young age and took influence from legendary comics like Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. Probably, his strongest attribute is in storytelling.
